ABOUT OUR PASTOR and FIRST LADY

Pastor Michael J. Thigpen and First Lady Melanie have been in ministry for almost two decades. Both visionaries and leaders, they have served in ministry at Celebration Church, Columbia, MD, New Testament Church of God, Brooklyn, New York and Sherman Street Church of God in Anderson, Indiana.

     Michael's life scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Michael has a passion for the lost, raising a generation of servant leaders to impact, invade, and infect the world with the love of God and to disciple believers to sustain a strong relationship with our savior Jesus Christ.
    
     Melanie's life scripture is Isaiah 60:1, "Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you." She is a strong believer in glorifying God in all you do with passionate devotion to God as well as plenty of laughter and having fun. She has a desire for God's presence to be allowed to intervene in every area of life to see a real God-Change.

     They both under the anointing of God, operate in several spiritual gifts and vocations, but most of all under a dynamic teaching gift as well as preaching, rightly dividing the Word of truth with a fresh revelation from God. They celebrate great moments in God, life, marriage, family and ministry.
